ボブ・マーリー[1945年2月6日 – 1981年5月11日]の本名は、ロバート・ネスタ・マーリー(Robert Nesta Marley)である。
ジャマイカ出身のレゲエミュージシャン、シンガーソングライターであり、レゲエの神様とも称されている。
また1978年、ジャマイカにてを開催し『One Love PeaceConcert』、コンサートを見に来ていた敵同士であった二大政党の党首２人にステージ上で和解の握手をさせている。

『One Love』という曲は、歌詞中で”One Love! One Heart! Let’s get together and feel alright”「一つの愛！一つの心！一緒になって安心しよう」とあります。
戦争や人種差別という問題を乗り越えることを望み、そのためにもすべての人々が一つになろうというメッセージが読み取れます。
